**Position Overview**

Infrared Home & Building Solutions Inc. is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Night Operations & Inspection Technician to support after-hours operations and emergency response.

This is a hybrid role combining inspection work, emergency response, site support, and office duties, with a strong emphasis on developing inspection skills for long-term growth within the company. This position is ideal for someone looking to advance into a daytime inspector, project coordinator, or operations role.

**Core Responsibilities**

Inspection & Emergency Response (Primary Focus)
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls and service requests
- Perform non-invasive inspections (visual assessments, moisture checks, documentation)
- Identify potential sources of water damage or building issues
- Take clear photos, measurements, and detailed notes
- Secure sites to prevent further damage using temporary measures
- Prepare inspection summaries for handoff to daytime inspectors and management
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally

**Night Operations & Site Support**
- Assist with demolition and site preparation when required
- Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and organization at job sites or shop
- Assist with drying equipment checks and site stabilization
- Coordinate with trades, property managers, and emergency services as directed
- Monitor and update job logs, site notes, and drying records

**Office & Administrative Duties**
- Intake emergency calls and accurately document information
- Upload photos, reports, and notes into company systems
- Prepare next-day task summaries for daytime teams
- Assist with scheduling preparation and coordination
- Complete administrative tasks during quieter periods

**Health & Safety**
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work under a Working Alone Safety Program
- Complete required check-ins and communication protocols
- Use provided PPE and communication devices

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Comfortable working independently during evening/night hours
- Ability to remain calm and organized during emergency situations
- Construction, maintenance, restoration, or inspection experience preferred
- Basic understanding of building systems is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic office software
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS
