Production Line Lead

**FOOD INDUSTRY COMPANY LOOKING FOR PRODUCTION LINE LEAD**
We are currently looking for Line Leads to join our Food Manufacturing facility based in Etobicoke, Ontario. In this position, the line leads will report to the Facility Manager/Supervisors and be responsible for managing and supervising employees to ensure security, safety, food specs, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP and Canada Health regulations are followed. Adhering to labour/food allocations will be a key performance indicator.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures quality production standards are maintained for all accounts
- Maintains Company policies and procedures as well as product specification for customers and serve as a knowledgeable resource relative to those policies
- Understanding the flow and capabilities of the manufacturing plant
- Ensure line runs are following labour allocations and ingredient allocations
- Responsible for safety, quality and compliance to customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
- Assist the assist Facility Managers/Supervisor in maintaining the team of employees and the manufacturing facility
- Act as an Ambassador for the manufacturing facility
- Maintaining the food safety culture which is established by the Quality Assurance department.
Skills and Knowledge:
- 2-3 years in High Volume Food Production
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage a staff of 8+ employees
- Concise and coherent reporting
- Strong logic and math skills
- Ability to adapt positively to change and stressful situations
- Able to read, write & communicate effectively in English
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
Environmental Requirements:
- Facility runs 365 days per year; must be able to work weekends and some holidays
- Regularly, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts to 8+ hours
- Work environment will be noisy and at low temperatures (around 3C)
- Must be able to lift to 23kg

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availabilityResponsibilities:
- Oversee and lead a team of production line workers
- Ensure production goals and targets are met
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards
- Train new employees on production processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues or equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production efficiency
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to operate a forklift and other relevant equipment
- Knowledge of fabrication processes is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
