Assistant General Manager

We are currently searching for an **Assistant General Manager with Rooms Operations and Guest Experience.**
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Rooms Operations
- Leadership of: Guest Service Managers, Front desk, reservations, switchboard, shuttle drivers/bellman
- Delivering service excellence
- Maximize revenue opportunities while controlling expenses
- Encouraging inter-departmental success through communication and co-operation
- Manager-on-Duty
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Manage IT Systems - OPERA, PBX, QUORE, call accounting, etc.
Guest Experience
- Creating a service culture through employee engagement, empowerment and training
- Soliciting and responding to guest comments; then implementing change for continual improvement
- Assume ownership of managing Brand training requirements and opportunities for all hotel associates
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the Rooms Division of a large hotel
- Successful implementation of structured training programs
- College Diploma; University Degree from a Hospitality related program would be an asset
- Good command of the English language is essential - both written and verbal
- Experience with OPERA is definite asset
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing work priorities
- Demonstrates advanced interpersonal skills for dealing with guests, associates and all stakeholders
- Due to the nature of this business, extended work hours are sometimes required; and include weekends and evenings.
- Must have a valid Canadian work permit
