**The Opportunity**:

- Must have a recognized 2-year technical land information systems or geographic information systems technology diploma. Other relevant/equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a GIS role within an Electric Utility or municipal environment is preferred.
- Preferred software skills include: Esri ArcGIS Pro; Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, Esri ArcGIS Utility Network; AutoCAD software; GPS devices; FME Desktop/Server; and Microsoft desktop products.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors, consultants and other department within the organization.
- Must be a creative individual with a keen eye for detail. Must have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be capable of working independently
- Ability to work effectively on a variety of projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must for this position.
- A self-motivated team player with the initiative and willingness to learn electrical utility systems and processes.
- Alberta driver’s license Class 5 is required.

$38.29 to $40.19 per hour

**Hours of Work**:
80 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday, some evening and weekend work may be required when needed.
