Sheet Metal Journeyperson

Economy Heating is an established HVAC contractor specializing in new home construction. We have an opening for a Sheet Metal Journeyperson. We offer competitive wages, the Open Circle Health and Benefit Plan, and the use of a company vehicle.

Duties Include:

- Ductwork and Rough Ins
- QC & Supervision
- Service Experience an asset

**Requirements**:

- Sheet Metal Journeyperson Certificate
- Own hand tools and PPE (hard hat, steel toed, boots, safety glasses, cut resistant gloves)

Hours of Work: 7:30AM-4:30PM Monday to Friday, 40-44 hours per week

$38/hour plus 9.6% stat and vacation pay for Journeypersons with extensive experience in servicing (troubleshooting and repairing furnaces) and installation of HVAC systems in new homes.

$36/hour plus 9.6% stat and vacation pay for Journeypersons with at least two years of experience in new home residential construction and are able to work independently (on mark outs, ductwork and rough ins).

$32/hour plus 9.6% stat and vacation pay for Journeypersons with little to no experience in new home construction and am not yet ready to work independently on ductwork and rough ins.

Above rates are not piecework, but straight hourly rates. However, there is the option of piecework for those so inclined.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
