Under the general direction of the Category Manager
- Bijoux Birks, the Assistant Category Manager, is responsible supporting the cross functional teams managing the Bijoux Birks portfolio. Therefore, the main objective is to meet or exceed the projected sales plans, inventory levels, gross margins, turnover, and strategic plan for the selected portfolios.

Also, this role maintains strong vendor relationships in an effective, efficient, and professional manner with all internal and external key partners. He/she will work closely with the buying and planning team in a dynamic and fast past environment.

In Addition, the **Assistant Category Manager** will be expected to
- Review and fulfill all customer inquires through our special order system;
- Ensure skus and purchase orders are created in a timely manner;
- Review pending orders and follow up to maintain appropriate delivery dates;
- Maintain daily communication and develop strong correspondence among team members and retail stores;
- Maintain vendor relations;
- Run weekly reports;
- Will be responsible for any inventory related adjustments such as RTV’s;
- Assist Category Manager in any projects needed;
- Promote a positive and rewarding working environment through teamwork, recognition and motivational support.
- University Degree in Business Management and or any related field
- 2 years or more, of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding or experience in retail or fashion environment
- Experience in luxury or jewelry industry (strong asset)
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point)
- AS400 and MS Dynamics (asset)
- Being able to work in a fast past environment
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Solid organizational and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships
