Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is currently seeking a full-time
**Buyer** to be part of their Major Projects Team based out of their office in downtown Calgary.
**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Prepare RFQs and/or RFPs to meet Project Procurement Schedules, while complying with Supply Management Policies and Procedures (“SM P&Ps”)
- Communicate with Project Team personnel during preparation of requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment to confirm compliance with SM P&Ps
- Negotiate commercial items, including Agreement terms and conditions with guidance from Supply Management and Legal personnel
- Once Agreements are placed, inform relevant stakeholders such as Document Controllers and Expeditors about the details of such orders.
- Provide post-award administration for Agreements
- Maintain and updates tracking logs for Agreements under administration (i.e. Milestones, Change Order, Invoices, etc.)
- Assist Expeditors with monitoring materials and equipment schedules to support on-time deliveries

**_Required Skills:_**
- Some experience with ERP computer systems such Maximo or JD Edwards and/or contract management computer systems such as Ivalua.
- Minimum of 5 years of project related procurement experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular, Word and Excel)
