We are currently seeking an **Part-Time** **AZ Driver** to join the team in our **Pembroke**shop. The AZ driver will be responsible for hauling deliveries of steel to a variety of customers all over Ontario and/or our Ottawa shop. The AZ Driver is responsible for safely operating and driving a tractor trailer, as well as contributing to the overall success of the Mansteel team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Operating and driving straight or articulate trucks to transport goods and materials
- Hauling reinforcing steel on a flat-bed trailer
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, and brakes
- Minor truck maintenance i.e adding oiling, fueling.
- Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
- Responsible for completing a pre and post inspection of the vehicle each day before operating.
- Responsible for documenting all inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Assist with shunting trailers, assisting with loading and off-loading of trailers at Company yards/sites.
- Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and working in a variety of environments, both internal and external in all types of weather conditions.
- Follow all plant and company safety guidelines in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities.

**Requirements**:

- Valid AZ License /Air brake (Z) endorsement or valid DZ License
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience with an AZ license
- 3am start time working 10-14 hour days on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Experience hauling steel would be an asset
- Clean Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate
- Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
- Previous experience in machine operation is an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
