Overview:
**_ Our core purpose is “We are curators of unique brands, bringing elevated food and beverage experiences to Canadians.”_**Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities are to receive, store, and pick orders, as well as distribute material and products within the distribution center. As with all positions at Tree of Life Canada we expect that all actions will be consistent with Tree of Life Canada’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Essential Functions:
- The afternoon shift runs from 2:00pm to 10:00pm
- This role will predominately be located in our freezer environment
- Bring overhead product down to pick bay
- Stock and restock product in proper locations including overhead locations
- Rotate stock according to date coding
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- Receive, record, put away, and rotate product. Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
- Use computer and/or Radio Frequency Unit to record and track product
- Responsible of picking Key Account warehouse orders
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. This includes disposing of pallet boards, wood chips, etc.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse, including receiving, pulling orders, packing and shipping required
- License operating powered industrial equipment either in-house or external (i.e., forklift narrow reach truck, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.) required
- We use a Raymond Reach, electric, stand-up forklift
- Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management
- Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed
- Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision
- Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
