This position is for the Nephrology Outpatient Program at the Riverside Campus. Travel will be required to visit Cornwall and Hawkesbury Units.

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Master's in Social Work with a clinical concentration from a university of recognized standing;
- Member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers;
- Experience working in a hospital setting particularly with chronic illness;
- Ability to provide both group and individual counseling;
- Ability to perform research;
- Excellent assessment and crisis intervention skills;
- Excellent knowledge of community resources and the placement process;
- Sound knowledge of regulatory standards regarding the provision of health services;
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary setting;
- Superior written, verbal and presentation skills;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Superior interpersonal skills;
- Valid driver's license;
- Must be eligible to work in Canada;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).

Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French
- and English-speaking clients.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with nephrology patients and their families.
