**Early Childhood Educator (Specializing in Speech Therapy & Developmental Support)**

**Location**: Kitchener Door Area, Ontario

**Job Type**: Part-Time (Approx-10 hours per week)
**Salary**: $20-25 an hour negotiable.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to support a 6-year-old child in first grade, who is experiencing speech delays, anxiety, and requires academic and developmental assistance to meet age-appropriate milestones. The role will involve working in a private home near the Kitchener Door area, focusing on early childhood development and speech therapy through personalized, individualized learning programs. The position is set to begin in the first or second week of December 2024. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Individualized Learning**: Create and implement personalized lesson plans to support speech, language, and academic development, aligning with the child’s specific needs and milestones.
- **Speech Therapy**: Provide targeted speech and language support using evidence-based techniques and play-based learning to enhance communication skills.
- **Positive Learning Environment**: Foster a nurturing, inclusive space that encourages exploration, curiosity, and emotional well-being.
- **Behavioral Support**: Use positive reinforcement and effective behavior, anxiety management strategies to support social-emotional development.
- **Progress Monitoring**: Track and document the child’s developmental progress, providing regular updates and recommendations to parents.
- **Collaboration**: Maintain open communication with parents and other professionals, ensuring coordinated support for the child’s growth and development.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children, preferably in a home or private setting.
- Experience with children requiring speech therapy or developmental support is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and effective teaching methods for children with various learning styles.
