**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, including sterilization of instruments and infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety standards.
- Record medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information accurately in EMR systems.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Provide chairside assistance during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems; familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is an advantage.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to take vital signs and perform basic medical documentation tasks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
