**Position Title: Breakfast cook**

Accountable To: Kitchen Manager/Chef

**Essential Duties**:

- Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are maintained in a clean safe manner following Brand and BC Health guidelines. Regularly monitors food temperatures, coolers and staff procedures for compliance with health code regulations and provides regular feedback and corrective action.
- Maintains documentation of use by dates, temperature logs, received dates etc.
- Follow all Brand Standards for food preparation, quality and costs.
- Produces a quality product timely and efficiently for guests and staff.
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items in accordance with prescribed recipes.
- Slices, grinds, and cooks meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods.
- Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are prepped in a timely fashion.
- Replenishes service lines as needed - includes restocking and prepping station for the next shift.
- Complies with all health and safety codes in handling and storage of all food products and kitchen equipment. Follows the hotel Food Safe Plan and Sanitation Plan.
- Follows all company policies, regulations, and standards as set by the Company.

**Safety & Security**
- Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

**Physical Requirement**
- Must be familiar with the operation of kitchen equipment.
- Strong knife skills required.
- Must be able to multitask, maintain composure and work efficiently during periods of high volume and stress.
- Ability to multi-task and satisfactorily accomplish tasks as directed

**Education & Experience**
- Line cook experience in high volume kitchens required.
- Must have general knowledge of all areas of food preparation, specifically cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking.
- Must be knowledgeable in plate presentation - depth, flavor, and guest needs.
- Should be able to communicate, read and write clearly and effectively.
- Good organization and communication skills required.

**Salary**: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
