**Associate Veterinarian - Niagara-on-the-Lake**

Upper Canada Animal Hospital is a general care hospital that practices progressive, compassionate medicine and surgery. We are committed to the highest standards of care and expect at all times our clients and their pets to be treated as if they are family. We offer interesting, diverse, and challenging cases with manageable caseloads and a strong technician team to best support your medicine.
Some of the services we offer include:
- soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
- rehabilitation including laser therapy
- abdominal and thoracic ultrasound
- digital radiography
- digital dental radiography
**We have an experienced doctor team who is eager to mentor new grads or DVMs looking to expand their knowledge in a new area**

We schedule to make sure our doctors and team get a long lunch break—we all need a break from the day We talk to our team about policy changes before they happen and encourage their feedback. A little bit about Niagara-on-the-Lake: It is often described as the prettiest town in Ontario and the heart of Ontario Wine Country. We are located an hour away from Toronto and 20 minutes from the Amercian Border. We love our wineries and have 40 local wineries in the surrounding area. If arts and culture are important to you, then you will love that we host the Shaw Fesitval which is the second largest repertory theatre company in North America. Do you have kiddos? **Skills and Basic Qualifications**:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills.
- Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
- Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
- Manages time and tasks appropriately.
- Models professional and courteous manner with staff and clients, supporting positive hospital culture.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
