As an Account Receivable Technician, you will follow up with customers to ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices for services rendered by our various project managers in our various business lines across Canada. The technician manages a multi-million accounts receivable portfolio and plays an important role within the credit & collection team.

**A day in the life**:

- Contact clients with outstanding balances and obtain payment confirmation.
- Maintain up-to-date collection comments in the system.
- Codify and escalate payment disputes to project managers, project accountants or the billing team for resolution and follow-up.
- Respond to different customer requests regarding their account.
- Proceed with credit card payments when requested.
- Validate and process customer’s refund requests.
- Send reminder notices to customers with an overdue account.
- Submit for approval non-recoverable accounts to be transferred to 3rd party collection agencies.
- Complete Proof of claims documents to be sent to Trustee. (Notice of Intention, Proposal or Bankruptcy)
- Participate in monthly meetings to report problematic client’s status.

**Qualifications**:

- College degree in Finance, Administration or Accounting.
- Five years experience in business debt recovery.
- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English is mandatory.**:

- Strong communicator.
- Familiar with Oracle Cloud.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with high expectations.
- Basic knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel) - Intermediate level.
