As part of the continuous improvement team and working closely with other operations departments, you will have to develop and implement solutions to optimize the efficiency of the manufacturing processes at the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu plant.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identify the opportunities and propose corrective actions or continuous improvement projects to support the achievement of plant objectives.
- Lead continuous improvement projects with a practical approach oriented on problem solving while respecting the project management process.
- Evaluate the implementation of new technologies or processes to improve efficiency, quality/HSE, and reduce costs.
- Support and guide the other departments (Production, Engineering, Materials Management, Maintenance, HSE, Quality) using appropriate improvement tools (TRG, SMED, FIPEC, etc.).
- Run improvement workshops using a defined methodology (e.g. Kaizen).
- Validate the production methods, cycle times, and equipment performance to ensure they support the production objectives.
- All other related tasks associated with the continuous improvement functions (e.g.: time and movement studies and database update, updating of manufacturing routines, realization of Autocad plans, etc.).
- Live ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

**Your background**:

- Studies in industrial engineering or other field of study combined with relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of project management.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of standard time calculations and analysis of working methods.
- Knowledge of process mapping and materials flow (an asset).
- Knowledge of machine reliability (an asset).
- Autonomous and able to work on several projects at once.
- Focused on collaborative teamwork, have skills in communication and interpersonal relations.
