Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (“Yee Hong”) is one of the largest not-for-profit, culturally-appropriate seniors care organizations in Canada. Yee Hong also supports other organizations with innovating seniors care through its advisory services, training and learning centre, and research. **Job: Personal Support Worker**

**Status: Casual Part Time**

**Core Function**:

- Provides personal care to assist patients in their daily activities and personal hygiene and supports their physical, social and emotional needs, in accordance with the organization's resident centred approach, relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
- Experience in long term care setting an asset
- Current CPR Certificate (i.e., completed within one year period)
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills in English
- Fluency in Chinese and other spoken languages will be an asset
- Relevant satisfactory work performance

**Working Condition**:

- Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending
- Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact
- Shift work, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and short shifts. May be required to work every weekend.
