Apprentice Carpenter

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Assist experienced carpenters in various construction tasks, including demolition, framing, window and door installation, siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry
- Learn to read and interpret construction plans accurately
- Aid in material take-offs and ordering
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient project execution
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skills through on-the-job training

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Minimum 2-years field experience required
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the carpentry trade
- Motivated, hardworking, reliable, and a team player
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of construction tools and materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to following health and safety guidelines
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle with a clean driving abstract
- Willing to travel as needed for projects in and around the Ottawa area
- Proficient with Technology
