**Job Objectives**:

The cleaner provides experience in commercial cleaning and gives their detailed attention to necessary daily and weekly cleaning duties.

Internal Contacts: All personnel as required

Key Responsibility Areas:
**Cleaning**:

- Works with care and attention to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with schedules and checklists provided.
- Provides daily cleaning of washrooms, lunchrooms, and meeting spaces.
- Sanitizes frequently touched surfaces twice daily.
- Mops floors as required.
- Vacuums and dusts in offices and meeting rooms weekly.
- Performs other cleaning and sanitizing tasks as necessary.
- Assists production departments with specific cleaning requirements.
- Plans and recommends processes and schedules to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitization are maintained.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

- **Education**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- WHMIS training required, will be provided.
- **Experience**
- Related commercial or institutional cleaning experience is preferred.

- Dedication to working safely, while ensuring and improving the safety of the workplace and of all workers.

Working Conditions:

- Outside the office and common areas, the industrial manufacturing shop environment may involve loud noise and dusty conditions.
- Consistent and appropriate use of necessary PPE is a requirement of this position.

Expected hours: 40 per week
