**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sort, separate, and categorize scrap metal materials by type, grade, and quality
- Load and unload materials from trucks using manual labour or forklift
- Weigh, tag, and record incoming and outgoing material accurately
- Assist with inventory tracking, shipping, and receiving as required
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the yard and warehouse area
- Follow proper handling and disposal procedures
- Adhere to company safety policies and wear required PPE at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, co-workers, and vendors

**Skills and Qualifications**

**Essential Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating forklifts is required.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic math and reading skills are essential for handling inventory counts and package measurements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Previous knowledge/experience working with scrap metal or related industries.
- Familiarity with e-commerce operations is a plus.
- Computer Skills/Basic data entry in google sheets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

**Requirements**:

- Forklift certification is a must (preferably with 4+ years of experience)

**Salary and Benefits**:

**Schedule**: Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Additional hours may be offered based on business needs during peak periods.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
