Job Overview

The E-commerce Merchandiser plays a significant role in driving sales and conversion, by creating a best-in-class customer experience on our website. This includes managing product catalogues, organizing pages for promotional campaigns, and developing site merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and user engagement. They will report directly to the **Creative Content & Communications Manager** and will work closely with the marketing, design, and web content teams to ensure relevant product presentation throughout the website.

Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise the Linen Chest digital touchpoints in the most effective way;
- Optimize presentation to maximize sales opportunities by offering the best browsing and shopping experience for a site visitor;
- Present the product range online in a commercial way and is visible and buyable on the Linen Chest website;
- Constantly monitor site search and navigation on the site, making sure that all established best practices are respected.
- Offer recommendations to improve the customer journey, whilst understanding the commercial impact of these changes;
- Continuously monitor the market and competitors by identifying a new range of presentation techniques and features in order to translate them into commercially viable implementations;
- Measure and follow up on the performance of online merchandising by analyzing customer behavior from Google Analytics and various other performance dashboards;
- Work in close collaboration with other relevant stakeholders, to maximize commercial opportunities;
- Take care of strategic products, promoting strongly across the different digital touchpoints;
- Work actively with the online product range, and monitor performance to ensure sales maximize long term profitability;
- Briefing and selecting additional products for our monthly digital flyers in our Publitas platform;
- Lead the technical implementation of quizzes in our Zoovu product finder platform.

**Qualifications**:

- Understanding of the retail landscape and familiarity of the Linen Chest brand;
- Customer-centric mindset when merchandising to help grow the long-term profitability of the Linen Chest website;
- Experience in creating and editing web content through a CMS platform (Magento) and search platform (Algolia);
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in Online Merchandising, Online Content Editing, e-commerce, or a similar role;
- Strategic, tactical and operational thinking;
- Professional experience of keeping up to date with competitor information and market trends;
- Great knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how digital media channels can be supported by content;
- Commercially-driven and capable of contributing to the team with specialized expertise as well as converting sales and marketing ideas into actionable plans;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Capacity to commit and deliver on strict timelines;
- Understand a site's target audience and requirements;
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommended solutions;
- Working in collaboration with your teammates to achieve a common goal;
- Capable of conducting an analysis on a detailed level.
