In collaboration with the Program Manager(s), the Clinical Manager is responsible for the delivery of clinical services within the programs of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes. The Clinical Manager will provide supervision, consultation and support to staff, provide clinical care to the service users of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes, and assist in the goal of quality, evidence-based person-centered care and the incorporation of measurement-based care within all programs of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes Toronto.
- Providing strong clinical leadership to all programs of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes in partnership with the Program Manager(s)
- Delivering clinical services including client support, group programming and participation in client care plans
- Assisting in the development and implementation and monitoring of evidence-based practice and programs and the incorporation of measurement-based care
- Providing coaching, supervision, consultation and support to staff, coaching for quality and performance improvement and creating educational materials to develop skills necessary to ensure the provision of quality care
- Participatingin and ensuring orientation of new staff
- Coordinating and conducting annual performance reviews as required
- Liaising and collaborating with external partners, consultants such as the consulting physician, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure smooth care transitions
- Leading, collaborating and functioning as a part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care
- Maintaining good working knowledge of equipment, supplies and materials used in the work area
- Engaging regular in professional development activities
- Working rotating shifts and hours when required
- Participating in an on-call rotation to support staff after hours
**Qualifications**
- Current membership in good standing with a Regulated Health Discipline Professional College in Ontario
- Graduate degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or equivalent degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use related needs
- Two years leadership experience including demonstrating effectiveness with change management
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills that have contributed to an effective team
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles and Housing First
- Possess a thorough knowledge of issues such as homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and substance use
- Assessment skills, counseling and case management skills, acquired through graduate education and experience in mental health care
- Knowledge of community resources and services, social and environmental determinants of health, evidence informed practices, ability to develop and facilitate groups to teach emotional and behavioural management skills, ability to develop programs and conduct evaluation of mental health programs
- Current CPR certification or willingness to certify
- Valid driver’s license is required and access to a vehicle is recommended

- Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset
- 37.5 hour work week
