Framer/labourer

The Labourer/Farmer's Assistant is responsible for various activities to aid in the everyday operations at K.D. Clair Construction Ltd.'s construction site. Throughout the construction process, the Labourer's activities include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other equipment, and cleaning/preparing construction sites.

The Labourer will also implement construction plans and follow the supervisor's instructions. As well as be able to safely lift 50lbs while following all safety standards.

**This is an Hourly paid job starting at $20 per hour. ** There is room to grow your salary as skills and leadership is shown. KD Clair also offers rate of inflation raises yearly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performing physical duties assigned by the foreman.
- Cleaning and preparing constuction sites.
- Building mobile platforms, such as scaffold, to support employees during construction.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with their responsibilities.
- Work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and plastic.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

We offer on site training and mentorship to grow in this position. The Framer must have strong communication and organizing abilities, as well as the initiative to complete duties with little supervision.

**Qualifications**
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for construction and carpentry tasks
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Commitment to safety
- Experience working on a construction site is an asset
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and project coordination
- High school diploma or GED is an asset
- Communiction and teamwork skills
- Strong ability to follow directions

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
