We are now hiring a Full Time **Dock Loader **for our **Mississauga**, Ontario terminal

**Shift**:Monday - Friday; 4:00pm - 12:30am (Afternoons)

**Starting Wage**:$23.72

**Responsibilities**:

- Fully understand Erb Transport’s handling of freight on the Toronto dock. Understand duties of both Dock Loaders and Dock Receivers.
- Load straight-trucks as well as trailers destined for specific locations, while avoiding damages by ensuring equipment is set at correct temperatures.
- Set up dock floor and line up freight so that orders can be found efficiently and accurately.
- Read and cross-reference freight bills to match with actual products according to manifests. Ensure trucks are loaded according to legal weights and space allotted for the product.
- Operate pallet-jack and forklift in a safe manner. Inform appropriate personnel of any equipment requiring repairs and/or follow-up.
- Fill in for other loaders as necessary.
- All other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 6 months forklift experience.
- Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated environment for up to 8 hours is necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Positive communication skills as it pertains to interacting with dock staff, operations, and drivers.
- Safety-conscious mind-set.
