**As a key member of the Facilities Services team, the Supervisor of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across multiple school sites within the Niagara Region. This includes managing custodial schedules, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards. This role demands a proactive leader who can adapt to evolving priorities and drive operational excellence across all facilities.**

**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:

- Provide strong leadership and support to ensure effective management of over 200 unionized employees and three Custodial Services Coordinators
- Implements and maintains Association of Physical Plant Administrators cleaning standards
- Collaborate with the Administrator of Custodial Operations to manage the operational budget, which includes waste management, cleaning products, equipment and wages
- Coordinate professional development for the custodial team on use of new products, methods and health and safety related training
- Work alongside Human Resources in recruitment, performance management and the modified return to work program
- Troubleshoot and respond to all emergency situations

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Facilities Operations, Environmental Services, Operations Management or similar
- Facilities Management Professionals preferred
- 5 years experience in a similar leadership role
- Certified Joint Health and Safety Part 1 and 2
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Team oriented with a collaborative leadership style
- Expert knowledge of building maintenance with an emphasis on cleaning and managing operational contracts and budget
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem solving and decision making in a custodial environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to work on
- call and flexible hours as required
- Valid G drivers license

This is a full time, permanent position

**HOURS**:35 hours per week; Monday-Friday; flexible hours as required

**LOCATION**: Catholic Education Centre; 427 Rice Rd Welland

**SALARY**:**$81,352.33 - $90,390.97**per annum
