Cadence is a growing online counselling practice dedicated to providing exceptional counselling services to women in British Columbia. Our feminist, inclusive, and affirming approach allows us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

We are currently expanding our team and seeking passionate contract therapists to join us in providing virtual counselling services to women across BC.

**Location**: British Columbia

**Position**: Contract Therapist (Must be registered to practice in BC)

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide 50-minute video counselling sessions to individual clients;
- Conduct complimentary 15-minute consultations with potential clients, either virtually or via phone;
- Maintain clinical records and complete proper record keeping in a timely and professional manner;
- Process payments following each counselling session;
- Engage in ongoing professional development and external [LC1]supervision;
- Participate in team case consultations;
- Maintain good professional standing with your regulatory body/association in British Columbia;
- Hold professional liability insurance and a business license allowing practice in British Columbia;
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with professional codes of conduct.

**Qualifications, Education and Experience**:

- Master's degree or higher from a recognized program in clinical counselling, counselling psychology, or social work;
- Registered as an RCC, CCC or RSW within British Columbia

**Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Comprehensive counselling skills and knowledge of therapeutic strategies and models;
- Demonstrated ability to practice from a trauma-informed perspective;
- Proficiency in planning therapy treatment and conducting assessments and interventions utilizing various theoretical counselling modalities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively complete risk assessments and safety planning with clients;

**Assets**:

- Evening availability
- Experience working with gender diversity, LGBTQ+ individuals, and transgender individuals.
- Specialized training/experience in counselling modalities like CBT, narrative therapy, IFS, EMDR, CPT, and DBT, with specific trauma-focused training being advantageous.
