Leduc County, Canada Savick Full time

**Job Overview**

While Savick is taking on bigger, higher volume buildings we are far from a wall banging shop. We pride ourselves in developing and maintaining a diverse set of carpentry skills to fabricate stairs, floor cassettes, roof panels, mass timber detailing, and installation techniques in the field. We want our team to constantly be learning and growing, with apprenticeships, sponsored tuition, and paid training available after a 3 month probation period.

**Duties**
- Read and interpret shop drawings, installation plans, cut lists, and production schedules.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete carpentry
- Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignments during the building and quality control process.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling heavy lifting and operating equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience (2+ years) as a carpenter or framer in residential or commercial construction.
- Experience working with cranes, prefab, and/or energy efficient buildings is an asset but not required.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor associated with framing tasks.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to problem solve and clearly communicate with coworkers.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and transportation to work (there is no public transit to Savick's shop). A clean driving abstract is required to operate company vehicles.
