Driver

**CHATS Transportation Program is looking for Full-time/Part-time Drivers
CHATS Transportation service is designed for frail seniors and adults over the age of 18 with a physical or cognitive condition needing a non-medical escort.

Drivers provide local and long-distance drives to medical appointments, day programs, grocery shopping and personal errands. Driver assistance to seniors includes support in and out of vehicle, with groceries and some mobility equipment (walkers). Vehicle and gas card are supplied.
- We are looking for Drivers to drive seniors/residents of Vaughan, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Markham, Unionville Stouffville Newmarket and Bradford communities to their appointments throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Drives are assigned based on the demand and we cannot guarantee the hours of work.
- If you are committed and flexible in accepting drives from Monday to Friday, we would love you to join our team.
- The Transportation program operates from Monday to Friday for the core hours of 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.

**Requirements for the positions include**:

- Valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License, with excellent driving record
- Must be of 25 and up years of age for insurance purposes
- Proof of 3 years insured driving experience (able to provide letter of experience from insurance company)
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Check (police screening)
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Participate as a team member and work with others to achieve program goals
- Understand transferring techniques with older adults
- Competent using a smartphone/iPhone
- Experience in a community setting working with the frail elderly would be an asset
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) and/or other language(s) would be an asset
