**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
The BOD (Basis of Design) Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the BOD process for high-flow production orders in a engineer to order environment. This role ensures that all design review milestones, Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs), and administrative tracking tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality. The BOD Program Manager will manage cross-functional communications among Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management, and will drive continuous improvement of the BOD process.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Schedule, facilitate, and document kickoff meetings, design reviews, and Production Readiness Reviews.
- Track progress of design activities across electrical, mechanical, wiring, manufacturing and process engineering disciplines
- Collaborate with stakeholders and software development teams to develop and refine tools for tracking and managing BOD projects
- Manage the BOD portfolio by maintaining and updating BOD tracking tools, logging status changes to provide real time status on BOD orders.
- Coordinate follow-up communications after Engineering release, ensuring Quality, Operations, and Sales have required documentation
- Act as the central point of communication for Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management on BOD status and deliverables.
- Craft and maintain documentation for Engineering processes to support consistency, knowledge sharing, and process adherence.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure production readiness: run the meeting, create punch lists, and follow up to resolution and provide formal notification to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate change management for customer-driven change notices and major design revisions.
- Notify Senior Management and Engineering Leadership of gate review readiness and assist in lessons learned sessions for continuous process improvement
**COMPETENCIES**:
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex process milestones on time and in accordance with company standards
- Proficiency with program management tools for scheduling, task tracking, and milestone monitoring
- Experience developing, maintaining, and improving tracking databases or dashboards to support project visibility and reporting
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, meetings, and priorities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong technical writing skills to clearly document engineering processes, workflows, and standards
- Experience with documentation management systems to organize, maintain, and ensure accessibility of engineering process documentation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process bottlenecks and drive resolution
- Commitment to continuous improvement and implementation of best practices
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Teams
- Familiarity with engineering review processes, production readiness protocols, and manufacturing process workflows.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program or project management within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience facilitating technical design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments
