**Basic Function**

In accordance with written or oral instructions, performs, dismantling, clean up, sanitation and re-assembling of Manufacturing and Packaging equipment lines, and assists with some assembly.

**Detailed Duties**
- Uses hand or fork truck to move bulks, materials and equipment to packaging work areas.
- Dismantles and washes equipment used in Packaging such as filler equipment and pumps and completes the appropriate documentation i.e. MCR’s and Status Tags.
- Prepares sanitizing solutions by weight and volume for tanks, pumps, pipelines, and production lines through observance of packaging and manufacturing instructions and sanitation procedures. Exercises extreme caution when preparing equipment for manufacturing to avoid bacterial contamination. Assumes responsibility and signs for the various steps in sanitation.
- Responsible for the storage of all clean hoses, stainless steel piping, fittings, etc. Ensures equipment is stored in a clean designated area or cupboard. Ensures storage areas and cupboards for equipment storage are maintained in orderly condition. Ensures that all clean equipment has the corresponding log books attached and completed and that equipment is covered in plastic.
- Responsible for receiving approved bulks in Packaging and completing the necessary related documentation such as signatures in packaging orders, cleaning tags/sheets and stirring records.
- Helps with minor set ups of Packaging equipment as required i.e. Fillers, Tape sealers, bundlers.
- Responsible for accurately recording work completed and ensuring all pertinent documentation is maintained.
- Performs daily and weekly scale verifications
- Performs daily magnehelic gauge checks
- Performs daily environmental chart recorder checks and changes charts weekly
- Monitors line scheduling and dispatch lists to assist planner with efficiencies (eg. Back to back like products, partial versus full cleans, etc.
- Keeps utensils, work area and wash pits in a clean and orderly manner.
- Cleans spills, etc. (on line) while line is operating.
- Stages bulk in preparation for line start-up. Helps with returns and supports backup coverage for the GSO.
- Able to relieve production lines as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
