**PURPOSE**

Reporting to the Director of Programs, Mental Health & Settlement Manager, is responsible for a) developing and managing programs and services that meet the settlement needs of newcomers such as orientation, information, referral, and solution-based counselling, and b) for developing and managing TIES’s mental health projects, working closely with mental health professionals and other stakeholders to promote newcomer mental well-being, ensuring that timely services are provided sufficiently, effectively, and efficiently, and that contractual obligations are met.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Mental Health Projects**
- Managing mental health-related projects in the context of funding agreements and as assigned by leadership.
- Supervise department staff, contractors, and volunteers.
- Co-ordinate and where possible, collaborate with other service providers in the city to promote, encourage, and contribute to mental health and wellness initiatives with a specific focus on newcomers.
- Assist in effective communications strategies (e.g., designing advertising materials, presentations, social media, website) to ensure the promotion of projects and TIES' programs and services.

**Fund Development**
- Actively seek and secure funding for projects and services that address identified needs.
- Research grants from government agencies, foundations, and corporations that aligned with TIES’ mission.
- Align proposals with funders' goals, showcasing program impact, scalability, and measurable outcomes.
- Provide transparent impact reports, host funder appreciation events, and offer personalized follow-ups to encourage long-term support.
- Collaborate with local foundations and businesses for sponsorships, in-kind donations, or co-funded initiatives, fostering mutual benefits.
- Share success stories and outcomes through reports, events, and social media to highlight funders’ contributions and enhance visibility.
- Seek out opportunities for collaborative solutions to address identified issues and needs.

**Co-ordination and Reporting**
- Organize team meetings, plan project activities, and monitor progress.
- Ensure project results are achieved as expected.
- Provide periodic reporting to the supervisor and funder as needed.
- Coordinate with other agencies to address the needs of their clients on settlement, mental health, and mindfulness.

**Settlement Services**
- Collaborate closely with Settlement & Financial Literacy Manager to support settlement needs of TIES’ clients.
- Ensure newcomers receive orientation, information, referral services, and solution-based counseling that meet established program objectives, requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other settlement managers and staff to ensure that clients with accurate and timely settlement services addressing their needs.
- Attend community meetings to share information, address common concerns, articulate client needs, and foster service-level collaborations.
- Maintain accurate records of intake, casework, group activities, monthly statistics, and reports.
- Participate in regular staff training, including cross-training and knowledge sharing.
- Engage in collaborations and partnerships to enhance community involvement and impact.
- Maintain and expand partnerships and networks with community organizations.
- Collaborate with the management team to research and develop innovative solutions to address community needs, including fund development and knowledge mobilization.
- Work with staff and volunteers to ensure professional and timely service delivery.
- Participate in internal and external program assessments and service evaluations.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Act as the main contact for projects, providing updates to partners and supporting the Supervisor with planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Manage data systems for accurate reporting and identify funding opportunities to meet client needs.
- Monitor client progress, ensure project objectives are met, and provide feedback to staff and contractors.
- Participate in assessments, training, and evaluations to improve programs and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
