Norcan is a complete hydraulic service and sales company established in 1974 and is now 8 branches throughout western Canada. We service customers in a variety of industries: Marine, Forestry, Mining, Material Handling, Original Equipment Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Production facilities. We are in a growing industry with a diverse set of skills and abilities that are critical in the operation of industrial and mobile equipment throughout the country.Norcan is currently searching for an Outside Sales & Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time position in the specialty field of hydraulics that would report to our Winnipeg Branch and provide sales and service to Northern Ontario.The Outside Sales & Service representative would be responsible for developing relationships with customers, growing accounts in their assigned territory to commercial and industrial enterprises and providing field service when needed. This position requires exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described and does require routine monthly travel.*Required Qualifications and Experience** 3+ years experience in an Outside Sales service role* Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position* Ability to follow, with detail, written and verbal instructions* Strong attendance track record with the ability to get along well with others* Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills* Knowledge of distribution sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques* Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers* Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm* Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment* Must be computer literate with knowledge of all standard Microsoft Office programs*Recommended Qualifications** 3+ years experience in a mechanical profession* 2+ years experience within the hydraulics or similar technical industry* Knowledge of components and hydraulic systems used in industry and mobile equipment*Responsibilities**: Promote our Brand including product lines, service capabilities* Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers is required* Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources* Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests* Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales* Review customer requirements and provide proposals and quotations* Prepare annual territory projections for Management* Prepare monthly sales plan* Work closely with the inside customer service staff to ensure the customer receives the best service possible* Work closely with all members of the Sales team to recognize & promote sales opportunities* Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information* Routinely pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities* Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, call reports and assigned projects* Keep Branch and Sales management informed of all relevant activity*Ideally but not required**: Conduct field service calls for various hydraulically powered systems and machines used in construction, mining, manufacturing, marine and forestry industries* Install, replace, and test hydraulic components used in industrial and on mobile equipment at customer work sites* Troubleshoot & Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine corrective actions* Installing, and working on hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and filters*What we offer**: Health Spending Account (used for Health, Dental and Vision care)* RRSP w/ Company Matching* Tuition reimbursement and opportunities for development* Competitive compensation and Bonus opportunities* Vehicle Allowance and Gas Card* Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm regular schedule*The Position**: Outside Sales & Service Representative* Full Time - Permanent position, Mon - FriIf you are interested in this position, please forward your resume.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental care* Extended health care* Paid time off* RRSP match* Tuition reimbursement* Vision careSchedule:* 8 hour shiftSupplemental pay types:* Bonus payWork Location: In person
