**The Park West Inn** is looking for a Repair and Maintenance worker to join the team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and machinery through routine maintenance tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting issues and performing repairs. Your attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently will contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major repairs or replacements needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects and ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

Compensation will be determined based on experience.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Must have a license and be familiar with basic painting, drywall, electrical and plumbing and heavy lifting.

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB R3R 2J8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
