At Cosmetic Physician Partners (**CPP**), our mission is to empower every person to achieve their inner potential. CPP’s leadership team brings together some of the leading operators of medical aesthetic clinics in the US. With a strong belief in building a people-first culture, we have achieved consistent double-digit growth in our clinics and use our learnings to help our network accomplish the same.
CPP’s founding partners are experienced clinic operators focused not just on short-term returns. We are building the premier medical aesthetic clinic network in the US for the long term benefit of all our partners, clients, and employees. We currently have 56+ clinics across 21 states in the US, as well as offices in Montreal and Calgary, Canada, and continue to grow at a brisk pace as one of the largest medical aesthetics groups in the United States.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Serve as a day-to-day legal advisor, supporting the General Counsel across multiple legal domains and jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), vendor, service, employment, partnership, NDAs, other agreements).
- Provide counsel on healthcare-specific legal matters such as the Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM), oversight and delegation of medical procedures, privacy, marketing, clinical operations, liability, and insurance.
- Advise on corporate governance, board communications, subsidiary oversight, and legal policy implementation.
- Support compliance programs—both federal and state—including the provision of medical services, data privacy, employment law, advertising claims, and anti-fraud statutes.
- Collaborate with external counsel on transactional matters, litigation, investigations, regulatory responses, and administrative hearings.
- Conduct legal research and participate in regulatory and policy developments relevant to medical aesthetics and company compliance.
- Manage legal intake and workflow, ensuring efficient triage and alignment with business priorities.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
- 8+ years of US legal experience, including private practice in corporate and health care transactions, healthcare regulatory and privacy compliance (e.g., Stark, federal and state anti-kickback, HIPAA, etc.), with some experience in M&A preferable, but not required.
- Strong understanding of CPOM and Management Services Organization structures preferred in order to navigate various states’ laws for compliance.
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple matters.
- Ability to interpret evolving regulatory frameworks, ensuring legal compliance while enabling innovation in the areas of federal and state health care laws, including those affecting physician and advance provider oversight and delegation, independent practice, as well as compensation models.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, compliance frameworks, and policy development.
- Team collaboration mindset, working closely with clinical, regulatory, marketing, partnerships, integrations, de novo, and operations teams.
- Experience with legal workflow systems or process improvement tools is a plus.
- JD degree with bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
