Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire **On-Call Tactical** **Security Guards** in **New Glasgow, NS**for a variety of sites (retail, warehouses, residential).

**What you will do**
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
- Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports for security purposes
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required

**About you**
- A Valid Security License
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Willing to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- New Glasgow, NS B2H 3S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Security: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail Security/Loss Prevention: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Security Guard Licence (preferred)
