**Food Services Crew Supervisor (Part Time/Casual)**:
**Position Description**: Reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, the Food Services Crew Supervisor will assist in the coordination of food service operations at City of Waterloo facilities and parks, including concession and restaurant operations where alcohol is served.

**Rate of Pay**: $19.00/hour

**Work Location**: This position will work at a variety of facilities including RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex & Healthy Living Centre, Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex & Community Pavilion, and Albert McCormick Community Centre.

**Hours of Work**: Up to 24 hours per week. Food Services is a 7-day operation that runs from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Schedules and hours will vary depending on programming requirements.

**Accountabilities**:

- Assist in training and onboarding of part-time casual staff and creating work schedules
- Assist in the direct preparation of food and beverages
- Assign work and provide direction and guidance to part-time casual staff
- Assist in developing and implementing menus for restaurant and concessions area and coordinating food and beverage services for special events
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Liquor License legislation (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) and City policies and procedures
- Assist in developing safe work procedures related to food handling and preparation and safe equipment operation
- Identify and report health and safety risks and hazards
- Assist with monthly inventory, billing and budget monitoring
- Work collaboratively with Client Services Coordinators and Facility Operations Managers

**Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of secondary school education or equivalent. Some post-secondary education in a food and beverage related program is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in food and beverage services with supervisory experience
- SmartServe certified and knowledge of Alcohol and Gaming Commission legislation
- Experience with invoicing, cash, deposits, cash handling controls and inventory control
- Trained in safe food handling procedures (Safe Food Handler certified) and health and safety
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with other members of the Food Services team and City staff, as well as the general public
- Ability and willingness to travel between worksites, as necessary, utilizing reliable, safe and efficient methods of transportation is required to perform the job
- A satisfactory police Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check will be required as a condition of hire.

**Driver’s licence**: Valid MTO ‘G’ or ‘G2’ class driver’s licence in good standing with access to reliable transportation for business use purposes is an asset for this position to be able to transport equipment and supplies to various facilities.
