Cheerleading Coach

The coach of YU Cheerleading should be enthusiastic and willing to help the team grow and feel confident in their skills and routine. YU Cheerleading practices 3 nights a week at Limelight Cheerleading Allstars in Vaughan, Ontario. We are looking to hire a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach.

Duties would include:

- Provide instruction and guidance to athletes on proper cheerleading technique and skills
- Guide athletes in tumbling, stunting and general fitness
- Assist club executives in coordinating and registering for competitions
- Attend all cheerleading competitions, practices and some sports games
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment
- Ensure the safety of cheerleaders during practices and competitions
- Developing choreography of cheerleading routine or assisting in hiring a choreographer

Job Requirements:

- Must be available to attend all practices and competitions or find a substitute
- Must be professional and willing to coach adult athletes
- Previous experience as a cheerleading coach
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, skills, and safety guidelines
- Ability to educate and motivate cheerleaders to achieve their best performance
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to coach either level 4 all girl or level 7 co-ed
- Level 7 Cheerleading certification or willing to obtain (club can provide financial support for certification if needed)
- Availability to work late evenings, weekends, and attend competitions

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
