seker. The Rocky View Bus operates Monday through Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm for drop off and pick up services. Rocky View Bus is currently looking to hire a Driver that will provide a safe and comfortable journey experience to all passengers. Our Drivers deliver outstanding customer service and assistance to all rural residents with access to community supports and services. These may include medical appointments, lab work, therapeutic sessions, drop-in programs or activities of daily living (groceries, banking, etc.). This role is approximately 30+ hours / week and availability would be required between 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Starting wage is $22/hr. During training, the wage is $17/hr. *Responsibilities:*
- Drive vehicle in a safe, respectful and timely manner in accordance with traffic regulations
- Ensure passengers are safe in the vehicle via seatbelts, wheel chair tie-downs, etc.
- Assist passengers from door-to-door service and help with packages (up to 10kg)
- Execute all documentation in regards to activity, routes, data, manifest, and any type of incident
- Daily communication with the dispatcher and at times work together to assist with trip coordination
- Complete daily bus inspection, clean bus (in and out), and maintain fluid levels on a regular basis
- Other duties as required *Qualifications:*
- Class 4, 2, or 1 Driver’s license
- Provide a driver’s abstract and a police clearance vulnerable sector check
- Excellent driving skills in all seasons and comfortable driving both rural locations and downtown Calgary
- Able to be flexible and adaptable as there are many changes throughout the week in regards to trip scheduling, cancellations, and last-minute requests
- Able to work alone and independently with qualities such as taking initiative, self starter, trustworthy, respectful and motivated
- Combinations of standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling are required with sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 10kg and push up to 10 meters Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30 per week Schedule:
