Optometric Technician

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the optometric practice's daily operations. You will assist with various clinical tasks, manage electronic medical records, and contribute to a positive patient experience in a retail environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and conducting preliminary tests.
- Manage electronic medical records efficiently, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide excellent patient care by addressing inquiries and ensuring comfort during visits.
- Support retail sales by guiding patients in selecting eyewear and explaining product features.
- Maintain an organized front desk area, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Assist in pediatric eye exams, ensuring a friendly and engaging environment for younger patients.
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure timely delivery of eyewear products.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a medical office or optometry setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electronic medical records systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of retail sales practices, particularly in the optical field, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry is beneficial.
- Experience working at the front desk or managing patient interactions is desirable.
