**About Us**: National Traffic Safety Management is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. As a leader in Traffic Control, we prioritize safety and are looking for a qualified Health and Safety Specialist to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety programs.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal health and safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide health and safety training to employees and supervisors.
- Maintain and update safety documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with management to improve workplace safety culture.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of COR audit documentation.
- Assist in various office administration tasks,
- Support HR functions such as employee onboarding, updating personnel records, and assisting with payroll processing and scheduling.
- Assist with organizing and scheduling fleet maintenance, tracking vehicle logs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Help coordinate fleet-related documentation, including registration, insurance, and repair records.
- Support the HR team in implementing employee training programs or wellness initiatives.
- Maintain and update filing systems for both HR and fleet-related records.

**Qualifications**:

- IHSA (Infrastructure Health and Safety Association) certification preferred.
- Experience with COR (Certificate of Recognition) and working within a COR-certified environment preferred.
- Experience in a Health and Safety role.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in first aid/CPR is an asset.
- A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Alternatively, a combination of relevant experience and certifications such as NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer), CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional), or equivalent, are beneficial.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
