**POSITION : PCMP **NEWTON FOR THE FIRST YEAR & **OTHER PROGRAMS AND LOCATION AFTER 1 YEAR**

**STATUS : FULL TIME PERMANENT**

**Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- Evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients who have sustained a concussion at work, and who are often experiencing concurrent orthopedic, neurological, and/or mental health conditions
- Monitoring, adapting, and progressing individual exercise programs to facilitate functional recovery and progress towards return to work goals
- Contributing to interdisciplinary reports by documenting client participation, receptiveness to treatment, and exercise progression
- Creating and maintaining client schedules in accordance with specific program parameters and treatment goals
- Leading group-based education classes on a variety of topics related to return to work following injury (i.e., body mechanics, principles of exercise, sleep, and nutrition) as well as group activities including goal setting, vestibular circuit, and strength and conditioning circuit.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- At least one year experience working with people with head injuries;
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating demands.
- Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation;
- Knowledge of psychosocial aspects of disability;
- Passion to work with clients to return to work following injury.

**Education**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree.

**Memberships & Associations**:
