- **Placement Coordination**

  • Identify and establish relationships with healthcare facilities, long-term care homes, hospitals, and other relevant organizations for PSW student placements.
  • Match students with appropriate placement facilities based on their skills, career goals, and the specific requirements of the placement.
  • Ensure that all students complete their required placement hours in a timely manner and in a professional environment that supports their learning and development.

- **Communication**

  • Serve as the primary liaison between students, placement facilities, and the school administration, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Regularly communicate with placement facilities to ensure that students are meeting expectations and that the facility is providing the necessary learning opportunities.

- **Student Support & Monitoring**

  • Provide guidance and support to students before, during, and after their placements, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Monitor student progress during placement hours by collecting feedback from facility supervisors and conducting regular check-ins.
  • Work with students to ensure they meet placement performance expectations and standards.

- **Administrative Duties**

  • Maintain accurate records of student placements, including tracking hours completed and documentation required for certification.
  • Ensure all necessary placement paperwork, including consent forms, orientation materials, and evaluations, is completed accurately and on time.
  • Compile reports on student performance and placement outcomes, providing necessary updates to the PSW Program Director.

- **Compliance & Quality Assurance**

  • Ensure that both students and placement facilities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for PSW education and student placements, making recommendations for improvements to the program.

- **Experience**

  • Experience working in a **PSW** capacity or similar healthcare field.
  • Proven experience in coordinating student placements or internships, particularly within healthcare or social service settings.
  • Familiarity with PSW curriculum, competency standards, and industry expectations for placements.

- **Skills**

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and placement providers.
  • Ability to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and student placement protocols.

- **Additional Requirements**

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software for record-keeping and communication.
  • Clear criminal background check (if required by placement facilities).

**Working Conditions**

  • Full-time position.
  • Occasional travel to placement facilities may be required.
  • Office-based

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
