The **Resident Attendant** is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

This is a **Permanent Part-Time**position with **52.5 hours biweekly.**

**Schedule Rotation**:
**Week 1**:

- **Sun 4pm-12am**
- **Mon 4pm-12am**:

- Tues OFF
- Wed OFF
- Thurs OFF
- **Fri 4pm-12am**:

- **Sat 4pm-12am**

**Week 2**:

- Sun OFF
- Mon OFF
- Tues OFF
- Wed OFF
- **Thurs** **4pm-12am**:

- **Fri 4pm-12am**:

- **Sat 4pm-12am**

As a Resident Attendant, your typical day will impact the following ways:

- Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
- Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
- Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
- Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
- Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader.
- Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

- **Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.**:

- **Basic or Standard First Aid**:

- **Certification in**Personal Support Worker** or**Personal Care Worker**, or a** 16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department.** If you don't have this, you**must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.**:

- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
