This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with regulatory bodies, anticipate compliance challenges, and uphold the highest standards of research integrity while contributing to impactful studies.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data Governance and Compliance:
- Develop and implement frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct audits of data assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Manage data residency and privacy compliance, including Canadian and global regulatory requirements.
Data Management and Integration:
- Oversee data acquisition efforts, ensuring informed consent and ethical use.
- Manage the integration of datasets for AI training, ensuring scalability and security.
- Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data for actionable insights.
Collaboration and Operational Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for data governance and management.
- Drive operational excellence by managing contracts and ensuring alignment with compliance standards.
- Help leadership prepare for participation in standards committees and compliance decision-making.

Visualization and Reporting:
- Create visualizations using Tableau or similar tools to present insights derived from complex datasets.
- Document data governance procedures using tools like Visio to ensure clear communication and alignment across teams.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Research and coordinate participation in trade shows and industry events that align with our growth goals.
What We’re Looking For
- **Ethics/Compliance**: A degree in ethics, bioethics, or compliance management with a focus on research or healthcare-related fields.
- **Health Sciences**: Degrees in public health, health administration, or related disciplines with coursework in research ethics and policy.
- **Law/Policy**: A background in law, particularly with a focus on health law, privacy law, or regulatory compliance.
- **Data Privacy/Information Management**: Education in data science, information systems, or a related field with a strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
