Logistic Planner

- Ensure import documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers and agents in a timely manner.
- Work with Brokerage and/or Freight Forwarder to coordinate and monitor the release of goods from the carrier, Customs, or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
- Interact with international freight forwarders, including communication on service levels.
- Continually auditing/reviewing freight cost and rates to minimize cost
- Preparation and maintenance of documentation related to shipment activities - container and machine releases, shipment confirmations, house BOL, arrival notices, etc.
- Update internal database with all pertinent information regarding shipments and expected arrivals.
- Weekly reviews of reporting to track machine departures from factory, arrivals to port, and production schedule discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers regarding order confirmations, expected delivery dates, payments and delivery plans.
- Work hand in hand with all team members and departments to ensure that all paperwork and shipments are accurate and complete.
- Working with Management team on process and improvements to quality of service and to identify areas of efficiency.
- Responsible and organize freight for machine from the production facilities to Canadian facility warehouse or direct to customer.
- Maintains all the necessary information, records, data etc. in the systems use by the company.
- Selects, coordinates the delivery schedule of machine with carriers.
- Submits or assists with freight damage claims with insurance company.
- Coordinates with Services department, customer and carriers’ installations dates od machines.
