Gizeh’s Canada location continues to grow and as such, we are looking to grow our team with enthusiastic and professional individuals who are looking for a fast paced and rewarding position. **You will learn about the company processes, quality and foods safety standards and the Quality and Food Safety Management System. This role will transition into the full-time Quality Manager role.** **Responsibilities**: Provide support to the Quality team with various tasks, such as: - Leader of direct reports: quality auditors and quality engineer - Maintain the Quality and Food Safety Management System in coordination with FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 standards - Set up and organize QA documentation - Identify, sort and effectively communicate non-conforming product to Team Leaders, the Quality Manager and the Production Manger. - Collect and test product using various measuring devices. - Creating and updating quality instructions and packing instructions - Assisting in new product startups by being hands-on in the production (measuring product and providing feedback to the Production Team) - Assist in root cause analyses when working through internal, external and supplier complaints - Read, write and review SOPs - Lead the Food Safety team in developing and maintaining the location's HACCP - Establish, enforce and perform GMP and SOP training - Conduct internal audits (quality, FSSC, HACCP) - Prepare and be the leader for all External FDA, FSSC, and Customer audits **Requirements/Qualifications** - Must work exceptionally well in a team - Ability to work independently and take initiative - Should be a "hands-on" person - Must have excellent professional communication skills (verbal, written) - Ability to switch-task and work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines - A positive attitude and highly motivated - Actively pursuing a career in the packaging, quality or manufacturing industry - Have the ability to use critical thinking and the ability to solve problems - Model a continuous improvement mind set, and the ability to easily accept change - Able to prioritize effectively, and finish tasks efficiently - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Strong ability to adapt to change with exceptional organizational skills - Ability to excel at working in an extremely fast pace and ever-changing environment - Flexible schedule (able to work 10-12 hours when circumstances require it) - Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and potentially Europe and Brazil - GFSI training (FSSC preferable) - Leadership experience (5 or more years is preferable) **Education, Training, Certificates** Bachelor Degree (minimum) **Assets** - Previous experience working in plastic manufacturing - Experience with Microsoft Access - Lead auditor training for ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000 - SAP experience - 5 years of Quality experience **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
