Junior Data Analyst

Overview:
The **Junior Data Analyst** is responsible for building and maintaining reporting and analytics to support client initiatives while consistently providing recommendations on how to improve our processes. In this role he/she will act as a liaison to both corporate internal departments, and our clients directly by supporting the deployment and administration of service-related programs with in-depth analytics to ensure compliance and maximum results. As a Junior Data Analyst, he/she will also assist in identifying opportunities to work cross-functionally while building strong and influential internal and client relationships to help ensure business objectives are being met. We are looking for an outgoing individual who is passionate about analytics, and will turn data into information, information into insights, and insights into business decisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day reporting for a major client in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Identify sales opportunities and provide practical guidance to optimize sales strategies and increase market share
- Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends
- Assist in the development and implementation of databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Support the operations and maximize profitability through ensuring field staff compliance to current processes
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports and review on business units
- Provide analysis of past and present operations trends, analyzing data to identify root cause, cost savings and present findings to management
- Participate in recommending improvements to processes for measurement, control, and analysis
- Assist the client with issues/concerns, special requests

Qualifications:

- Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance or related experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with retail operations reporting and administration preferred
- Minimum 1 years' experience of working in a fast-paced, high demand office environment
- Experience analyzing and trending data from multiple sources
- High proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite & Microsoft Power BI
- Moderate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel; Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Charting functions
- Experience using other data visualization software (Tableau, Looker, etc.) an asset
- Experience with databases and SQL an asset
- Effective communication, customer service, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
