We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our Strathroy manufacturing facility.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Validate shipment information (i.e. Pallet weight, dimensions, product and special shipping requirements)
- Prepare customs documentations, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations
- Monitor shipment status and customs clearance and communicate delays to appropriate parties
- Assembling customer orders on pallets while safely ensuring a high degree of accuracy
- Operating forklifts in a safe manner to move materials and load and offload delivery vehicles
- Responsible for the physical movement of sheet metal within the facility, checking the accuracy of incoming and outgoing orders, and supporting inventory processes
- Preparation of shipping and receiving documentation such as bills of lading, shipping orders and work orders
- Communicating with truckers/carriers, suppliers, vendors, contractors, and customers to make arrangements and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Problem solving for any late/delayed shipments and deliveries
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Completing daily forklift inspections (i.e. ensure propane tanks are filled)
- Provides additional back up support for production team
- Processing orders, selecting carriers, negotiating rates and issuing the necessary documentation
- Ensuring on-time pick-up of shipments, monitoring them while in transit to achieve successful on-time delivery, as per customer expectations

**Basic Qualifications**
- Previous shipping and receiving experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Previous forklift experience required
- Experience recording shipments in a software system
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and have a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication abilities
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong computer skills
