**Reports to**:
Program Lead, WorkAbility Program

**Job Duties**:

- Sends out weekly job opportunities to updated client list.
- Sends out monthly workshop calendar to updated service provider list.
- Network with Ottawa community service organizations and local small businesses, proactively to establish relationships for work placements and referrals into Workability.
- Create partnerships through the utilization of job development strategies with businesses to provide work opportunities and workplace/interview supports for clients 
- Host educational sessions for community partners and service providers.
- Use social media to promote program.
- Attend Ottawa job fairs.
- Network with educational institutions.
- Initiate regular (weekly/bi-weekly) check-ins with employees during placement to ensure they are feeling supported, and the placement is a continued success.
- Introduce employer related financial supports to all employer relationships.
- Participate in weekly internal job development strategy meetings.
- Build relationships with local Immigrant, Disability, and Mental Health organizations.
- Implement wage subsidies and job training incentives for clients.
- Connect with Acclaim’s team of kinesiologists, ergonomists, and occupational therapists to ensure that the employer has appropriate accessibility tools for their new employee.
- Implement regular check-ins with employers to ensure the employees on placement are doing well and to provide extra hands-on training if needed, to mitigate any issues before an employee might resign/be terminated.
- Build strong relations with local food banks, clothing supports, and counselling services.
- Connect with local services to gather marketing material such as brochures to be able to hand to clients.
- Continue to grow partnerships by following up with partnerships monthly.
- Go on site to ensure client is being accommodated for, trained properly, and for a generalized check-in.
- Demonstrates to employers’ effectiveness and profitability of employing persons with disabilities, by identifying jobs that workers could perform.
- Maintains client files both in hard copy and electronically in accordance with company standards.
- If required, refer clients to appropriate community services, depending on area of need.
- Develops relationships with employers in a variety of industries to ensure successful job development for clients.
- Locate job openings based on client’s individual skills and abilities.
- Assists clients in meeting job performance requirements through regular support, coaching and conflict resolution.
- Facilitate an active “job seekers club” to maintain participant involvement.
- Locates jobs for participants who have successfully completed training programs.
- Provides strength-based approach when working with clients

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in social work.
- Bilingual (other languages) is preferred.
- Prior case management, marketing, employment counseling or job development experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of job development strategies and labor market trends in a range of occupational fields.
- Experience with motivational interviewing.
- Experience with strength-based approach when working with clients.
- Ability to outreach, network, promote participants and program.
- Ability to motivate participants toward full-time, part-time, entry-level employment.
- Ability to motivate placed participants toward the retention of long-term employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
