We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Control Inspector within our Northfield Metal Products teamto help support our Work Furniture business. In our Furniture Components business, we design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort, motion, and style in the work and home furniture industry. From surface-critical bent tube assemblies and molded plywood components to chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, our Furniture Components business brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality products. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will have the opportunity to support the design and development of manufacturing tooling and equipment that meets customer and company requirements. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting our production operations. The team you will be working with has a long tenure and values collaboration

**So, what will you be doing as a Quality Control Inspector?**
- Have experience with first article, in process and final inspections
- Measure using height gauge, caliper, micrometer, and other measuring tools
- Make regular and special checks on products and processes
- Examine parts of products for flaws or defects, checking dimensions or other product characteristics against product specifications
- Generate defect reports for non-conforming product (internal and supplier)
- Commitment to working safely

**To be successful in this role, you’ll need**:

- Previous experience with Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of inspection methods
- Strong attendance record
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually but be a team player
- Foster strong and collaborative relationships with management, peers and production team members
